SPAY DAY 2019

The Grahamstown SPCA is organising a mass sterilisation campaign to take place on Saturday 14 September 2019.

We have gathered veterinarians from across the Eastern Cape and are aiming to sterilise over ONE HUNDRED dogs/cats from our community in just one day!

But we need your help…

We are appealing to the public for donations to make this day a huge success. We have been supplied some of the veterinary drugs but we need a very long list of other consumables to get the job done. If we receive enough in donations, we are also hoping to send each dog that is sterilised home with a new collar and a small bag of dog food.

Once again, we are appealing to our community to help us with this incredible initiative by pledging a monetary donation regardless of how small.

All dogs/cats will be collected from the areas that need it the most. We have identified the Pola Park Squatter Camp and surrounding areas for this drive.

We are also asking if any local BnB owners would be willing to put up some of our veterinarians for the Friday and/or Saturday night as many are travelling from very far parts of our province. If any other local businesses would like to get involved please do get in contact with us.

Pulling off this massive task will make the world of difference to the animals in our small town – together we can do this!
